Easy Street: Personal Investment Portfolio Manager

Easy Street provides capabilities to create a securities portfolio, record transactions, automatically track price quotes, and produce reports you need to monitor your investments. Easy Street can maintain any number of different portfolios, giving you a convenient way to organize your investments and to easily create "what if" scenarios for experimenting with different investment strategies.

To create a portfolio, first you enter information about your securities. Then, you enter current price quotes, or use the download/import features to establish or update the current price of your securities. Next, you record transactions such as buy,sell, splits, and dividends. Then, you can display or print the Portfolio Report which shows the total value of your portfolio and the total gain or loss on your investments. Finally, you can print the Transaction Summary Report which you can use to help prepare your tax returns.

Once you setup your portfolio, you can easily monitor your investments by updating the current day's price quotes for all your securities, viewing historical price graphs, and displaying your current position. You can use Easy Street's built-in financial calculators to calculate loan payments or the future value of your savings deposits. All this is easily accomplished with a few simple clicks of your mouse, making Easy Street the easy way to get from Wall Street to Easy Street.

The beta release of Easy Street version 4 is now available. See the Download topic below to download your copy. Easy Street has been completely updated for 32-bit Windows operating systems, including Windows 95, 98, and NT for Y2K compliance, better performance, Internet capabilities, etc. Previous 16-bit /Windows 3.x versions are no longer supported. Previous users should be aware that the new default installation directory is \program files\easy street. It is recommended that you install to this directory, and copy your existing portfolio (*.pfo) and financial statement (*.fst) files to the new directory. This way you will have a backup of your existing data in the old EZSTREET directory. Also note that all CompuServe functionality has been removed and replaced with a built-in Internet quote download capability. See the README.TXT file for other information about version 4.0. Please note that this release is a beta test release, meaning it has not been fully tested by SouthTech. Please report any problems, and as always be sure to maintain good backups of your portfolio files.

This file is a self-contained automatic installation/setup program (approx. file size 560K). Once you download the file, simply run EZSETUP.EXE to install the Easy Street software. Refer to the README.TXT file for additional notes. Note: you may need to "right click" on this link and select "save target" or "save as" depending on your web browser. You may use the Easy Street software for a reasonable evaluation period, after which time you must purchase a license (see links below) or discontinue using it.
